「漢奸」罪狀再添一筆
七一遊行後我啟程前往倫敦，應邀出席「國際自由聯盟」大會發言，講述國際矚目的反送中運動。遭《文匯報》批評，屬意料中事。
我的發言重心，是香港的定位。憑2014 年和2019 年兩次大型群眾運動，香港人已經向全世界證明，我們是一股有心有力、立足原則和信念守護自由法治、爭取民主的力量。因此，我期望奉行自由民主法治的國家看待香港人為同路人。即使特首不可靠，但香港人是國際社會信得過的。百萬人的力量會竭盡所能確保特區政府履行香港的國際條約責任。
「中國模式」與「自由民主模式」二元角力中香港處於前線，香港人不會任由香港變得與中國任何一個城市無異，不會放棄香港的核心價值，淪為中共「白手套」溫牀。香港得保現狀合乎我們的國際伙伴自身利益，幫助香港保持這個定位亦是應有之義。對中共絕不用指手劃腳，據理力爭就可以。
國際形勢變了，反送中運動比起5年前的雨傘運動更吸引世界各地人民關心。越南音樂人Truc Ho 歌曲Seaof Black 為港人打氣，歌詞「今日香港，明日越南」唱出兩地人民對自由、民主的共同追求。台灣民眾對反送中運動的聲援，吶喊「今日香港，明日台灣」，則包含負面的想像。中共以經濟手段影響政府與政府的關係，但收買不到人民與人民之間的感情扣連。
