一年一袋垃圾 余若薇

新年伊始許個願，60歲英國男人John Newson去年願望是全年只掉一袋垃圾，2013年願望如是。簡直匪夷所思，但他並非隨便說說，而是真的做得到。

2012年完結的一天，John自豪地拿着一個8成滿的黑色垃圾袋走出家門，膠袋表面寫着「2012」，這就是他整年要掉的垃圾。

John獨居，自僱人士，從事環境研究工作。這位綠色異人不吃肉，不吃魚，自己種植蔬果，廚餘作肥料，另外，把要棄置的膠樽、紙張、玻璃、金屬罐分類送到回收處，循環再造。這樣持之以恆，到了除夕夜，要放進垃圾袋的東西，主要是不能循環再造而又想不到有任何用途的塑膠包裝材料。

一年一袋垃圾這種神級境界，自問望塵莫及，John亦說，並非人人有條件像他的生活方式，如果他有6個兒女，也會製造一大堆尿片垃圾。

聖誕、新年剛過去，拆禮物或打開雪櫃檢視節日剩餘食物時，不妨想一想自己能做多少，減少垃圾。政府慢三拍，垃圾按量收費計劃不知何日實現，作為好市民，毋須等政府有所作為，你2013年的「垃圾願望」是甚麼？
