「你吃不吃肉？你全素嗎？矯情！多餘！」每說動物權益，就會惹來這種話。仍然有好些人不肯正視的，是我們跟其他動物分享地球。而眾生並不平等，我們吃動物，但不准動物吃我們。人類起碼可以也應該做的，是尊重生命，不故意令動物受不必要的痛苦。

有這麼個新聞故事。兩年前一個美國獵人在加拿大獵鴨，捉着一隻受傷的鴨自拍影帶，塞住鴨的鼻孔，緊扯着鴨嘴好幾分鐘，一邊調侃說：我跟你說話，你望鏡頭……然後把影帶上網。此人給控虐畜罪成，判監13個月兼罰款10萬美元。

或就有人批評，一邊准打獵一邊不准虐畜？「偽善！」加國人不吃燒鴨嗎？嗄？「造作！」但還請細看當中一條人文精神的細線，以至底線。這一條分隔的線，尤其要讓孩子知道、兒童懂得。
