前陣子，有街坊問我： 「八年議會工作，當中可有甚麼令你感到自豪？」我頓了一頓，一時無言以對。八年歲月，猶如一條漫漫長路，感受良多，但「自豪」肯定不在其中。

當選那天便為自己立下三大目標：一、爭取雙普選；二、推動公平競爭法；三、設立最低工資。說得輕鬆，但要達標卻是談何容易！組黨的時候，我堅持要把最低工資寫進黨綱內，想不到第一次召開經濟支部大會，竟然有過半數出席黨員反對最低工資！以為說服商界會是最大困難，誰知要說服中產及專業人士竟然是同等困難！

推動公平競爭法，商界的阻力比反對最低工資更大。但最令人遺憾的是，當反對者辭窮理屈時，卻改為公開以抹黑、侮辱性的言論質疑我個人推動競爭法之動機，以圖擾亂視線，混淆事實，令人進一步感到政治及既得利益者的可憎！

走往普選之路，更是舉步維艱。○六至○七年間，幾經辛苦籌集一筆資金進行了一連六個月的普選民調和舉行了一場史無前例的「二○一二撐傘爭普選」行動。從構思，到統籌，至實行，均是困難重重。但想不到這次行動竟然成為民主運動團結爭取普選的最後一刻；及後的五區公投帶來前所未有的內耗和分裂，令本已是荊棘滿途的普選路更是寸步難行。一○年總算爭取了十席民選議席，但一一年的區選挫敗，卻又令人對今年九月的立法會選舉擔心不已。

八年歲月如白駒過隙，轉瞬即逝，但當中的無奈、挫敗和艱辛卻相信怎樣也忘不掉、抹不去。曾經嚴肅考慮是否就此放棄，但身邊的人問了一句我答不了的問題：你甘心嗎？沒錯，我不甘心！也不輕易言敗！既自命為一個「在哪裡倒下，在哪裡站起來」的人，除了再站起來，還有甚麼選擇？
