司長想垃圾得垃圾 陳淑莊

政務司司長唐英年失言並非新鮮事，惹火「金句」包括「吊吊揈」、「車毀人亡」、叫年輕人自省為何做不到李嘉誠；近日再加一項「垃圾論」。司長一再失言，令人對其智慧有所保留；但若從好處眼，或可顯示他心直口快，並非大奸大惡之徒。

「垃圾論」源自政府接待副總理李克強時，保安安排擾民、阻礙記者採訪，引來損害言論自由和新聞自由的批評。當司長會見記者時，被問及他對這些批評的回應，他以英語回答：「如果說我們損害公民權利和言論自由，我認為是完全的垃圾(completely rubbish)…..」將他的英文答案和類似問題的中文答案比較，發現內容大致相同，只是英文答案劈頭多了句「垃圾」。或許是「轉英文台」時，衝口而出說了心底話！

說話可以是心理反射。唐英年從政多年從未獲得外界掌聲，反而來自公眾和傳媒的批評、揶揄之聲不絕；可能令他覺得言論自由和新聞自由跟他對幹，想將之當垃圾拋棄，令「垃圾」思維潛藏於意識之中，伺機奪口而出。

近年流行一套名為「吸引力法則」(Law of Attraction)的理論，認為負面的想法會把不愉快的事情吸引過來；故當想垃圾、說垃圾，就會收到垃圾。我建議司長，不如將言論自由和新聞自由視作瑰寶，假以時日，這想法當會助你贏得市民和傳媒的尊重！
