名人教英文 – 食出好英文文
語文能力是成功的一個重要準則，在社會要取得成功，必須能極度清晰地表達自己的看法和情感。時至今天，英文是國際語言，在許多領域如商業、娛樂和科學，良好的英語能力極重要。
因此，學英文愈早愈好，由幼童開始更為有效。
小孩子最喜歡玩耍，在飯桌也喜歡玩食物。不過玩耍之餘也要學習，如果能同時達成兩個夢想，家長一定最開心！
「動物餅乾」（animal crackers）是其中一個好工具，一塊塊動物形狀的小餅乾上有該動物的英文名稱，家長可讓小孩讀出動物英文名稱，又或挑戰難度：把動物餅無字的一面向天，訓練孩子的英文能力和記憶力。
「字母湯」（alphabet soup）也是學英文的小工具，一個個字母形狀的小意粉放在餐湯上浮起來，生動的字母對小孩學英文是很好的視覺協助（visual aid），大家亦可問一些英語問題，玩玩小測驗，例如：怎樣拼蘋果（apple）？然後讓小孩用匙羹撈起A、P、P、L、E，串對了就讓他吃那些小意粉作獎勵。小意粉豐富的蛋白質有助小孩快高長大，同時可學好英文，又增進親子關係，真是一石三鳥！
此外，香港許多餐廳也提供中英文餐牌，方便旅客之餘，也方便了許多有志學英文的人。點菜時不妨多參照英文的部分，學學英文，有時候中菜的錯譯更是笑料百出，例如我和幾個朋友曾經見過一道菜，菜名是「陳皮酸雞」，竟被譯成「Sour chicken with Chan’s skin 」，識中文的笑死，不懂中文的嚇死！
