我們的悄悄話 – 為何災難總要發生在窮人身上? 余若薇

坐在機艙窗口旁，遠望著無窮無盡的藍天白雲，腦海中浮現一幕幕四川之行的畫面：山河的破壞、瓦礫的寂靜、醫護人員的無奈、年青老師的激動、解放軍的紀律、人民的堅忍、副省長讀出一堆堆與災情有關的數字…  機上的記者最有興趣知道的是兩個問題：(1)議員會否同意100億的撥款？ (2)議員對陳方安生剛宣佈不參選的反應，民主派在港島區是否會只剩兩席？ 為何這麼着重數字？數字的意義在甚麼？ 我最想知道的，不是多少，是為甚麼。為甚麼受害最深永遠是最窮的一群？ 這次地震災情最嚴重的阿霸州是少數族裔聚居的地方，他們在山坡自力更生，與世無爭，為何會遭遇天災橫禍？較富裕的山村因交通尚可，傳媒報導，領導人關注，較早得到援助；還有較偏遠，較窮困的，容易被忽略。 其實為何會天意弄人這問題我在專欄已提過一次，一位有心的讀者便以電郵安慰我，他引述聖經約翰一書5:19說：「全世界都是受到撒旦控制的，現今真正主宰這個世界的其實是魔鬼撒旦，這個肉眼看不見的靈體迷惑了普天下的人(啟示錄12:9)，故此這個世界的風氣就正好反映出他的卑劣品格，今天的世界正正就是充滿仇恨，陰險狡詐和殘酷的事，這就是世界充滿苦難的一個原因。」我相信這世上陰險狡詐的人確不少，卻很難明白魔鬼撒旦或仇恨與我這次四川之旅所遇到的淳樸的村民如何扯上關係。 當然凡事都可兩面看，有危必有機，世紀災難激發大量的愛國情懷，凝聚民心，遇到挑戰的官員正好可表現領導才能。為何災難總要發生在窮人身上？也許正因為人類往往要看到比自已更不幸的人遭遇不幸，才願意伸出援手。
