政．戲．伊人 – 永利同心
自當選區議員，我參與中西區關注組推動保育永利街活動，反對唐樓群清拆重建。新年伊始，關注組每周與街坊舉辦活動：「元宵起義」燈會、「起三」集體晾衫、「起四」到「偉志印務」李伯的平台打麻雀及「黃絲帶行動」，將寫上保育心願的絲帶繫在街。
努力歸努力，始終不存厚望，沒想到竟可打動政府收回成命，讓永利街的香港情懷得以保存下來。麻雀腳李伯，81歲，在永利街經營印刷廠30多年，店內的印刷機和印刷鉛字有40多年歷史，見證行業興衰。大業主巢先生，65歲，擁有兩幢樓齡59年的唐樓，物業在他悉心保養下，白牆綠窗藍簷篷，光潔簇新。他把物業出租，500呎單位月租4000多元，數十年，老租客溫婆婆已90多歲。
另一個租客是63歲的呂姑娘，她在士丹頓街住了半世紀，因重建被逼遷，幸得巢先生以3000元出租閣樓，讓她與16歲患有自閉症的侄兒有安居之所。揚威海外的電影《歲月神偷》在永利街拍攝，故事講述香港60年代的人情故事，其實2010年的永利街，亦充斥很多同樣的感人故事。
