政．戲．伊人 – 立法會大樓內的麻將房 陳淑莊

讀書時候，校園內總有一兩處地方是你和你的好同學傾心事的「老地方」。在立法會工作的數年間，我亦和我的好同事找到一個傾公事的「老地方」，雖然我們稱之為「麻將房」，但這裏並沒有麻將打，而且絕不適宜打麻將，否則會收到噪音投訴！

立法會大樓到明年剛好落成100年，屆時立法會相信應已遷往添馬艦新大樓了。臨別依依，大樓內有很多令人不捨的地方，當中讓我最牽掛的是一間與會議廳相鄰的小房間，房內有1張方几和4張，方几高度只及膝部，和同事們商討時要俯身向前，恍如打麻將洗牌般，故以麻將房作暱稱。而在這裏，一部讀稿機誕生了！

剛擔任立法會議員時，每當發言都會先準備好講稿，熟記內容，還會在開會前不停練習讀稿；結果「贏」得「讀稿機器」的美譽。而開會期間，有時要兼顧其他事項，不時要來回會議廳和麻將房之間，與助理開會；這小小的房間，助我處理了很多問題！

唯一缺點是不能在這裏處理機密事宜，並非有甚麼竊聽風險，而是它有強大傳聲功能。房間的上邊有一半圓形大洞，沒有玻璃覆蓋，故房內說甚麼外邊也聽得一清二楚，而大聲的程度，有時真懷疑這設計具有擴音功能！
