本土良食
民以食為天，大米是基本食糧，但近期內地接連揭發大米、米粉及米製品的鎘含量超標，加上早前的毒奶粉，大人小孩每一餐都是一次冒險。究竟剩下甚麼可以放心吃？
香港十分依賴進口食材，尤其來自中國大陸。漁農署2011年統計，本地農產品供應全港所需蔬菜的2.3%、活豬的7%、活家禽的57%。自給自足暫時不切實際，但愈遲醒覺，不及早正視，將來要加倍工夫處理，代價更大。
非牟利組織「良食關注組」多年來熱心推廣本地生產食材，不定期舉行「本地食材宴」(openclass.hk/activity/1907)，今年訂於7月24日舉行，並無山珍海錯，但有巧手鮮味，全部採用本地出產的雞、豬、魚、冬瓜、蝦乾、蜆、南瓜、豆腐等等烹調，我嘗過寶石魚與永明雞，值得一試。 在發達國家生活的人民，飲食佔個人的碳排放20%，香港人的碳排放比例不會低於此，因為大部分食材靠飛機、車、船長途跋涉運輸來港，距離愈長，碳排放愈多，加速地球暖化。
事實本地食材尤其有機食材一般不廉宜，但為了個人健康、為了環保，呼籲大家支持本地良食。
