法政隨筆 – 再見了！會考
最後一屆香港中學會考日前放榜了！會考舉辦33 年，共440 萬人次進入試場，但隨著明年實施334 新制，香港中學文憑考試取代會考和高考，會考成為港人集體回憶。今年只有約3 萬名自修生應試，當中有首屆會考生為了見證歷史，參與了終極會考。每年會考放榜，都有不少讓人鼓舞的奮鬥故事。有考生戰勝了身體惡疾，堅持應試，獲得不俗成績；有考生在投身社會多年後重拾課本，希望一圓五科合格夢；亦有長者實踐終身學習，孜孜不倦，成為最年長考生。
家長總是呵護兒女，平日提供湯水補品，放榜日更請假替兒女到心儀學校排隊，爭取中六學位。明年新考試直接成為大學聯招基準，家長及學生們不必四處撲學位，但新學制剛起步，家長和學校需要適應，相信又有不同煩惱。
會考有標準答案，試題有可尋，坊間不少補習社以貼題命中率高作招徠。但新高中課程除了紙筆考試外，加進「校本評核」，學生平日的課業表現均納入考核，已經不能單靠背熟「精讀」取得好成績。
事實上，會考課程死板、沉悶，一直被批評為填鴨式教育。應試學生要把一疊疊筆記塞進腦袋，再把相應的內容寫進試卷，既是折騰，亦不切合當今社會需要。新高中引入「其他學習經歷」，除了傳統科目外，亦包括德育、社會服務及藝術培養等範疇，學習不限於課堂內，學生有更多元化發展。
