法治不能退
中共利用「港獨」偽命題製造假危機，要香港人自願獻上人權自由換安定，認同打壓少數有理想的年輕人為理所當然，接受具獨立思考的知識份子被誣陷是咎由自取，支持以嚴刑峻法懲治「暴徒」乃天經地義。香港人變得短視功利，甘於只向權錢膜拜，不介意憧憬公義者被妖魔化。香港大環境和社會價值觀起了翻天覆地的轉變。
須知法官也是生活在香港社會當中，法庭判決難免受這些急劇轉變影響，致未能充分貫徹體現利用法律保障個人權利自由的法治初衷。瑞士世界經濟論壇去年發表《全球競爭力報告》，香港的司法獨立排名由2016年第8位跌至2017年第13位。情況令人憂慮。
中共不恪守「一國兩制」，處處插手香港事務；特區政府濫用司法處理政治問題，為滿足政治需要不惜動搖本港法治精神與司法制度。長此下去，香港擺脫不了作為中共「白手套」的指控。當「一國兩制」愈來愈貨不對辦，法治這金漆招牌褪色，香港失去有別於中國內地的獨特性，國際給予香港的特殊地位與待遇亦會隨之消失。
