法院夢遊？
終審法院前常任法官烈顯倫在外國記者會午餐會演說，題目搶眼：法院是否夢遊到2047？
他指出一些判詞冗長，與一般市民脫節，他亦指香港要及早開始處理2047法律制度銜接問題，這些觀點很重要，我亦認同。但他亦提到，香港大部分人用中文，法院用英語，援引歐洲案例，邀請外國法官為終審法院非常任法官，擔心如何「滿足當權者」2047後仍然採用普通法。
我不理解「滿足當權者」的意思，他沒進一步解說。香港法治成功之道正是採用普通法，而英語是普通法的語言。烈顯倫上述質疑，都是《基本法》保障的：包括第8 條（普通法）、第9 條（英文也是正式語文）、第81條（終審法院）、第82條（邀請其他普通法地區法官）等。
烈顯倫退休時，是終審法院法官，但他竟然認同取締終院，與上訴庭合併（這有點像內地的二審終審制），這想法與一般法律界人士想法相悖。
終院有外地法官，是得來不易的安排，特區政府亦承認這「有利香港發展普通法，加強香港與其他普通法國家的交流和互動，亦有助增強國際社會對香港司法獨立和維護法治的信心」。烈顯倫的論調有點像經常批評這些「外來」法官的左派報章。
他舉3 個案件，批評近年司法覆核制度被濫用。正如大律師公會主席譚允芝說，司法覆核失敗，不等於制度被濫用，每年幾百宗司法覆核的法援申請，獲批的屬少數；入稟的司法覆核申請，每年僅數十宗獲批准，由法院把關。
