燭光中的沉思 梁家傑

加拿大總理杜魯多在下議院發表聲明，為加拿大政府在二戰期間拘禁意大利裔人正式公開道歉。

正視過去，從中學習，汲取教訓，誠實懺悔，放低不光彩的歷史包袱，憑智慧和勇氣撫平人民的傷痛，癒合傷口，這個國家才會有進步。

歪曲歷史，不問是非，滿口謊言，不求公義，埋沒良知，不擇手段「和諧穩定」至上，不惜與三四代人結怨，這個政權只是外強中乾，缺乏自信，並且埋下官迫民反的種子。

專制政權過去四十年粗暴地限制人民生多少個孩子，現在又需要人民多生育。其實，質比量更為重要，年青人是一個民族持續向前的力量，若然將他們推到對立面，踐踏他們的理想，壓抑他們自主獨立思考的本性，一味培養他們趨炎附勢，隨波逐流，唯利是圖，沐浴在銅臭中，遺忘人最起碼的道德底線，這個民族沒有希望，朝向沒落。

有些價值遠比財富和權力重要，我依然相信，民主制度可以帶領一個國家、民族建立文明，留住良才，而民主的基本原則，是互相尊重每個人作為理性個體。一個視人命如草芥、蔑視人權、抗拒民主的專制政權，不會為人民帶來幸福。良禽擇木而棲，納粹時期，物理學家愛因斯坦毅然放棄德國籍，投奔美國，尋找自由的棲息地。

每年到了亮起燭光的時候，就提醒自己思考生而為人的底線。揪心的歷史，不想回憶，做人的基本，未敢忘記。
