玫瑰，不叫玫瑰也芬芳
港大鍾庭耀的3.23全民投票選特首計劃，令我想起莎士比亞名劇《羅密歐與茱麗葉》中茱麗葉說﹕
“What’s in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Remeo would, were he not Romeo call’d,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title.”
(名字算什麼？玫瑰就算不叫玫瑰，一樣芬芳；羅密歐就算不叫羅密歐，一樣完美。)
3月25日特首選舉前兩日，鍾庭耀擔任總監的香港大學民意研究計劃舉辦「3.23民間全民投票計劃」，讓全港市民有機會在民間設立的票站或網上一人一票選特首，投票結果即晚公布，三個目的﹕(1)結合民意調查結果立體展示民意，供市民和選委參考；(2)推動公民參與，建構公民社會；及(3)示範電子投票制度。
左報近日連篇文章批評鍾庭耀搞「特首公投」的動機是「得出一個與選舉結果相反的『民意』結果」，「攻擊所謂小圈子選舉不符合民意」，是「反對派繼2012年發動立法會『五區總辭，變相公投』之後，再次挑戰本港憲制安排的『港獨』行徑。」
鍾庭耀早前在記者會強調，這活動不是「公投」，因為無表決議題，無觸及主權問題。
名字算什麼？就算3.23全民投票不叫「公投」，本質也是公投，彰顯民意。
兩年前「五區公投」，是追求廢除功能組別，盡快實現真普選，與今次3.23全民投票一樣和平、科學，不違憲，與「港獨」風馬牛不相及。
眾所周知，700萬香港人之中，今次只有1200人有份投票選特首，其餘99.9%香港人只能在民意調查或3.23投票中表達個人意見，而且無法律效力，即使如此，仍屬禁忌？當權者反應越大，越想打壓，越突顯這是一場未能理直氣壯、欠缺公信力的小圈子選舉，自暴其短。
