石古不化

長洲北帝廟門前有對百年碑文:「脈接嶼山後枕香江鐘地結，面朝石古前環翠岫拱天樞」。當地居民認為，「石古」指對岸的石鼓洲，與長洲「拱天樞」，即相輔相成的風水命脈，政府在石鼓洲興建垃圾焚化爐會破壞龍脈，污染空氣。4名長洲居民已向法庭提出司法覆核，反對焚化爐計劃，案件排期11月審理。

香港人每日棄置9,000公噸都市固體廢物，3個堆填區2016年起陸續飽和。環境局局長黃錦星強調未來2、3年目標是「源頭減廢」，尚未交代焚化爐是否事在必行。

即使終極出路是焚化爐，大前提是垃圾分類，盡量回收循環再用，未能再用的廢物才焚化，故此，現在要考慮的，並非焚化技術是否夠先進環保及減少擾民，因為不少外國經驗可借鑑，當務之急是源頭減廢、全面實施垃圾分類、支援回收業，市民改變生活習慣亦非一朝一日。

瑞典幾乎100%回收，須焚化的廢物愈來愈少，焚化爐要從外國進口垃圾，才能維持焚化量以供電，假如香港也有這一天，便是名副其實的「香」港！
