碌爆卡
碌卡的「碌」，英文係swipe；而爆，一般講burst， 於是碌爆卡就係swipe and burst the card？
這樣說，大多數人或都拿揑得到意思，但聽上去就是awkward，怪怪的，所以最好還是用回通用的講法︰
My card is out of credit. 我張卡沒有信貸了。
My card is over its limits. 我張卡已過了限額。
或就更直截了當說︰ My card’s busted.我張卡「爆咗」。
Busted 這個字好好用，任何人、事、物「衰」咗，都可統稱busted。例如︰
My voice is busted. 我失了聲。
The thieves were busted. 那些賊給識破、抓起來了。
信用卡的最大「特色」是欠的債可以拖，不用次次還清，但每次累積欠的餘數就會收你（ 很高的） 利息︰ It allows a continuing balance of debt, subject to interest being charged. 也即是有「滾雪球效應」，snowball effect，一個不好就會變成好似被「大耳窿」（loan shark）追數。
信用卡一般用膠做， 所以亦叫the plastic。經濟差的時候，會比較少人用信用卡，就是驚碌爆卡。於是在衰退期，常會有人做調查，主題不就是︰
Is plastic still fantastic this year? 這一年，信用卡是否仍然令人心嚮往之？
留意這句話玩的是plastic 跟fantastic，一樣-stic 尾的押韻。
碌爆卡另一句可用的口語，是break the bank。這三個字原本是賭場術語，賭場莊家叫the bank，賭徒贏晒莊家，就是break the bank。今日用於一般個人身上，是指exhausting one’s resources，什麼資源都沒有了，山窮水盡，等於破產。
I broke the bank. 我（碌爆卡）不名一文了。
Having just one expensive dinner won’t break the bank. 不過吃一頓豪餐，不會破產吧。

Procrastination is like a credit card, it’s alot of fun until you get the bill.
Procrastination，解拖延。凡事拖，花的是借來的時間（borrowed time），就像碌卡， 用的是借來的錢（borrowed money）。做事拖延就像碌卡使大咗，可以一直好開心——直至收到帳單！
