籠裏雞作反
都說，有人的地方就有政治，有政治的地方，就會發生自己人打自己人的場面， 即窩裏鬥。這個窩，英文不叫nest，講 in-house，指一間屋內的、同一屋簷下 的；而鬥，就是fighting。
窩裏鬥，in-house fighting，常簡化做 infighting。
The opposition camp lost the election due to infighting. 反對陣營因為內鬥，輸 了選舉。
有個相近的字，feud（發音few + d ） 多指兄弟鬩牆、家族爭產之類： Family feud（家族內鬥）—— There is an age-old feud between the two families. 這兩家人有世仇。
Gang feud （ 幫派鬥爭） —— There was a long-standing feud between the two gangs. 這兩幫人有夙怨。
但引伸開去，任何款式的圍內爭權奪 利，一樣用得上。看這條早前論述特首選舉的新聞標題： Feud for top job alters balance of power. 為搶高位而生的窩裏鬥，改變了 權力平衡。
留意feud 也可作動詞，後面跟with： The twins are always feuding with each other. 那對雙生兒老是彼此不和。 每出現內鬨，總有給視為「反骨、反轉豬肚」分子，我們口語形容的「食碗面、 反碗底」之人，英文可說： He bites the hand that feeds him. 他咬餵他的手。
用英文講「籠裏雞作反」，千萬不要直 譯”chicken in cage revolting against” 什麼的，一般用mutiny 一字就得。Mutiny 原本指船上的水手串連倒戈，背叛船長， 後來就拉闊來用，至包括任何叛亂、兵 變。到了今日，所有群起推倒權力象徵的 行為，any uprising against a designated authority，都可叫做mutiny。
He was a victim of the office mutiny last year. 他是去年公司一場「籠裏雞作反」 的受害人。而一隻「作反的雞」，是a mutineer。
Mutiny 這字， 乍聽似乎很誇張「大 單」，卻可用做日常口語： 那個宴會中的人，喧嘩嘈吵手舞足蹈得 like animals mutinying in a zoo，像動物園內的動物在作反！
