綠色公民 – 你的地球需要你
立法會環境事務委員會主席後天就是聯合國世界環境日；今年的口號是「你的地球需要你」(Your planet needs you!)，呼籲世人不分彼此，一起應對氣候變化危機。世界環境日的宗旨，不止於個人環保意識的提升，更重視增強環保訴求的政治影響力。畢竟，真正的變革不能缺少在政治層面的努力。
上周五，美國眾議院訪問團到立法會，我有幸與推動氣候變化草案的眾議員馬基議員會面。草案訂下溫室氣體減排目標，2020年將比2005年的水平減少17%，並預期2050年減幅可超過80%。草案雖仍被環團批評減得太慢，但總算是美國民主黨上場後，撥亂反正，推反共和黨執政時不負責任的態度。
節約用電、發展再生能源、建立減排交易市場，都是各政府急需落實的工作。香港也要在這幾方面加把勁，才能真正降低溫室氣體的總排放。
