立法會環境事務委員會主席華富地方辦公室開張，朋友送來小禮物—節能插蘇。小裝置內藏時間掣，在指定的時間會將電源截斷，例如將截斷電源的時間設定在非辦公時間，可減省毋須用電時的消耗，達到節能減碳的環保成果。

本來，同事放工前把插頭拔掉也有相同效果。不過，不是人人都有環保意識，也不能保證天天都記得拔插頭。與其依賴自律，不如巧妙地設置小機關，令不環保的人也環保。

有本土公司研發的智能拖板在歐洲大受歡迎；也有公司研發比光管省電四成的ＬＥＤ光管，在今年「春季燈飾展」中成為逆市奇葩，營業額升一倍。

節能器材、污水處理和綠色建築等環保產業已經萌芽，只要適當澆水和給予空間，將會茁壯成長，令環保與不環保的人，都可以過綠色生活。
