綠色公民 – 政府知錯樹木有救? 余若薇

立法會環境事務委員會主席早前一名少女在赤柱被大樹壓死，死因庭嚴詞狠批政府樹木管理做得不好，特首急急救火，責成政務司司長統籌檢討。令人欣慰是法治發揮效用，政府無法不放下怠慢冷漠，要認真處理長期漠視的樹木管理工作；令人痛心是要等到市民無辜枉死，政府才知錯。

政府樹木管理千瘡百孔，第一：政府多個部門推卸責任，第二：沒有專門的樹木保育法例，第三：沒有足夠的專業人才。執行官員也得過且過，樹木生病不懂護理，胡亂搬遷，修剪或砍伐，當環保人士抗議反對，部門就跳到另一極端，甚麼情況也不准砍樹，導致塌樹意外。公民黨推出綠色新政，建議政府創造綠色就業，其中包括有專業資格的樹藝師。唐司長必須從政策、架構、培訓和法律多方面着手，推出全盤改革，才有希望拯救香港的樹木。
