綠色公民 – 樹木專員專業團隊 余若薇

政務司司長唐英年正統籌檢討樹木管理的工作，或許他應該參考新加坡和台北的經驗。新加坡與香港同屬普通法地區，但人家早在三十多年前就通過了《Parks and Trees Act》，規定政府設立統籌樹木管理的樹木專員，並界定甚麼情況下可砍伐樹木，以及哪些樹木需要保護。台北市10年前亦設立樹木保護自治條例，定下標準，並涵蓋私人土地，達標的樹木砍伐前必須通過法律程序。

除了立法，香港必須有足夠的樹木護理人員。樹木護理專業團體近年已盡力培訓樹藝師，令持有證書水平的人數不斷增加，但仍要政府明確政策支持，才能在市場產生足夠的專業樹木護理工作，壯大獨立執業樹藝師團隊，讓他們成為樹木管理的尖兵。
