綠色公民 – 海洋保育 余若薇

本港某日式餐廳在日本投得藍鰭吞拿魚，準備烹調給一眾老饕品嘗。事件宣揚後，引起關注海洋生態的環保組織關注，指藍鰭吞拿魚是瀕危物種，更發起扺制運動。在南半球，環保組織派出船隻阻止日本捕鯨船進行獵殺行動，更與捕鯨船發生衝突。

生猛海鮮是不少香港人喜歡的食物，但原來不少魚類在人類濫捕之下，數量已大幅下降，部分更成為瀕危物種，如蘇眉。香港人在大飽口福之餘，亦應該考慮到自己對食物的選擇，會對海洋生態帶來甚麼後果。海洋保育雖然並不如空氣污染或屏風樓群那麼「埋身」，但市民不應因此而忽略過度捕漁對生態的影響。不少魚類已有人工繁殖，如青斑，市民亦可以有替代的選擇，可以在吃海鮮與海洋生態之間，找到兩全其美的方法。
