綠色公民 – 清新空氣何價
立法會環境事務委員會主席現行空氣質素指標沿用廿多年，早已不合時宜。去年曾特首承諾制訂新的空氣質素指標，但政府消息人士向傳媒吹風，只會採納世衞指引中最低級的「中期指標1」為基礎，又威嚇市民，首階段管制措施總成本為286億元，不單要加電費、交通費，亦可能影響經濟。
其實，空氣與健康息息相關。據港大賀達理教授統計，空氣污染所引致公共衞生的經濟成本，包括求診次數，留醫床位日數，提前死亡人數及其他金錢損失，遠高於改善空氣所需的費用。
再說，清新空氣是整體社會的投資，政府應作財務承擔，如成立基金，津貼巴士公司更換較環保車隊，避免將成本完全轉嫁乘客，創造雙贏。
