綠色公民 – 環評站在十字路口 余若薇

港珠澳大橋環評報告被法庭裁定無效，本應可推動社會更加重視基建對環境的影響，減低工程對環境的長遠影響。不少輿論倒過來大發陰謀論，或側重工程延誤的短期經濟損失。政府上周決定上訴，有關爭議有待上訴庭或終審庭的裁決。

這是智慧淑世的時代，也是愚昧當道的時代；這是信念堅定的紀元，也是諸事存疑的紀元。當年環保署署長否決落馬洲支線環評報告，同樣引起爭議；其後政府將環保署署長一職升格，不再交由專業職系官員擔任，改由政務官為政府工程護航。

立法會環境事務委員會即將議論環評的未來，熱愛環保的朋友，請把握時機，提出檢討的建議，例如環評報告應有中文版，顧問研究應獨立於工程倡議者，民間或綠色團體有權提交報告或提出上訴等。
