綠色公民 – 誰是環保煮食？ 余若薇

節能減碳是大勢所趨，但怎樣才算是最環保的做法，卻往往爭論不休。以煮食為例，電磁爐的擁躉認為，電磁爐的傳熱較明火煮食更有效率，在環保方面應稍勝一籌。

明火煮食的支持者反駁說，香港的電力供應七成依靠燃煤發電，無論是排放空氣污染物二氧化硫或溫室氣體二氧化碳，都遠較已改用石腦油的煤氣為多，更計算出每一餐可比其他能源減碳920克。在可見的將來，煤氣的供應更可能透過收集堆填區產生的沼氣，擴大減排幅度。

雙方均言之鑿鑿，如何判斷誰者更綠？一般而言，使用較清潔能源者減排的成績應該較好，但正如長春社署理總監黃子勁先生所說，最終還要看廚子的使用習慣。如果下廚時肆意浪費能源，那麼就算有再低碳的配套，也難以達到減排的成果。
