綠色公民 – 達理教授 辭別香江 余若薇

香港大學賀達理教授本周退休後，將離開居住了廿二年的香港，到空氣清新的英國馬恩島居住。一直以來，賀達理教授致力改善空氣污染和控煙工作，是我們重要工作夥伴。他指出空氣污染對公眾健康的影響。近年創立達理指數 hedleyindex.sph.hku.hk ，讓公眾可以清楚看到空氣污染每分鐘帶來的經濟損失，人命與醫療負擔等。

可惜，他的貢獻未得到應有回報時，賀教授本人因長年飽受香港的污染空氣，呼吸道系統百病叢生，唯有無奈離開。

政府沒有致力開放電力市場鼓勵可再生能源發展，對運輸業又投鼠忌器，不肯淘汰舊型號高排放的車輛，對加快更換舊巴士不願作財務承擔，連立法強制停車熄匙也顯得畏首畏尾，香港市民的健康只能就政府的慢三拍而付出代價。
