綠色公民 – 香港也要減排目標
立法會環境事務委員會主席對抗全球暖化，必須訂下排放總量的減排目標，才能制訂方案減少排放溫室氣體。京都議定書所訂下的減排目標，將會在2012年到期，各國須於年底，在丹麥哥本哈根確立新的減排目標。隨着美國態度逆轉，這次世界有望制訂一個更好的減排藍圖。
面對愈來愈大的訴求，各國政府迫於形勢亦要提出2020年減排目標，例如日本就計劃到2020年，將溫室氣體較1990年水平減8%； 美國國會就研究減6%；澳洲則考慮較2000年水平減5-15%。儘管比聯合國建議的25-40%低很多，總算是一個開始。
香港至今只有能源效益目標，沒有減排目標，温室氣體排放量亦由1990年3920萬噸，增至2005年4480萬噸。按聯合國建議，2020年需減排34%，總排放量要減至3000萬噸以下。各界應協商2020年減排願景，然後迫政府落實。
