綠色公民 – C40會議華而不實
政府早前主辦C40國際會議，紐約市長彭博老遠坐私人飛機到來出席，被批評一邊口談環保，另一邊卻不想辦法縮減自身的碳足印。事件或多或少象徵了這只是一場國際環保公關秀。
互聯網無遠弗屆，世界各地城市的低碳減排經驗，只要在電腦鍵盤按幾個鍵，已可掌握情況，毋須要各與會者遠渡重洋，浪費運輸燃料排放溫室氣體。即使交流分享，亦可越洋透過視像會議進行。況且，今次會議又不是要達成甚麼具法律約束力的國際協議，要隆而重之的簽署作實，各地代表也不用在會議室外的門廊密談，扮作偶遇。國際環保會議愈來愈華而不實，與會者得到一次輕鬆的公幹機會，順道遊覽大會城市。非政府組織國際新聞機構亦乘機起哄。可惜，喧鬧一場後，減排低碳的工作仍是毫無寸進。
