電費、壟斷與環保
兩間電力公司狂加電費，惹起全民怒吼，中電才象徵式減價約2%。政府在與兩電簽訂利潤管制協議時又把關不力，令電費可以不合理地加到盡。電力供應市場長期壟斷，政府無力使兩電聯網，甚至廠網分家，促進第三者可進入市場競爭，不止令兩電可以予取予攜，也阻礙再生能源的發展。
歐洲多國近年倡議分散式發電，透過民眾自發在各地發展小型的再生能源系統，將所產生的電力供應電網，減少倚賴火力發電。香港雖然美其名任何人都可以將再生能源駁入電網，但必須通過繁複的電力安全標準並不容易。入網費及購電價格的釐定，也缺乏透明度。
電費問題正好考驗一眾特首參選人是否有決心、能力，果斷地推動開放電力市場，促使市民可以更便宜、更環保和更安全地用電。
