香腸人、煙肉人？
兩周前曾討論的buff， 基本上就是個amateurish professional （業餘的專家） ， 或professional amateur（專業的業餘愛好者），都是對某一範疇屬「有料到」的人。也即是說，叫人做buff 或自稱buff，會稍為「隆重」了點。純粹要表達熱不熱中、喜不喜歡一樣事物，可改用type 或person。
Type，類型，日常用來講人，多指性格︰He’s the calculating type. 他是攻心計的類型。
She’s the eager-to-teach type. 她屬好為人師（彈）、喜歡教人（讚）的類型。
當然還有無數其他性格款式，像the helpfultype，樂於助人的；the unpleasant type，不討人喜歡的。但說到喜好，就不用形容詞了，改用事物的名稱放在type 字前面。
My mother is not the jewellery type. 家母並非喜歡買或戴珠寶的一類人。
The socialite is naturally the throw-a-dinner-party type. 那個社交名媛自然是常常請客吃飯的一類人。
His friend is not the jogger type. 他的朋友不是愛跑步的一類人。
順帶一提，在追求、拍拖的過程中，最令人傷心的一句話，也許就是聽到對方一句︰ You arenot my type， 「你不是我（喜歡）的類型」。不過不必氣餒，不要就此放棄，儘管不是對方的type，但凡事持之以恆，說不定你最終就是真命天子—— The One！
Type 說的「人款」比較大圍，如果要講的是個人口味，就多用person。
I’m not a sausage person. 我不很喜歡香腸。譯做廣東話︰我唔係「香腸人」！跟着就會有人問，Then you are a bacon person? 那你是煙肉人？
I’m not a morning person. 我不是「早上人」。即不慣早起辦事。
I understand he’s never been a car person.據我的理解，他從不熱愛車。
這個他， 若是他們， 是不是person 就改做persons？文法上可以，但多數人改說people ︰They are all car people. 他們都鍾意車。He loves the company of wine people. 他喜歡跟愛酒一派一起。
