公民黨敦促政府重建
與保育人士的互信基礎

清場行動破壞互信

公民黨認為今天政府在皇后碼頭的清場行動，不但未能平息各方對保育與發展的爭議，更破壞保育人士與政府之間互相的基礎。公民黨認為，可持續發展必須建基於各方持份者的互信，政府的清場行動使各方在日後更難建立對話的平台，有可能造成政府、市民、和香港整體利益皆輸的局面。

採用調解方案挽回損失

公民黨認為，政府應明白成功清場並不等於社會進步，更不等於消除一切項目建設的風險。公民黨建議政府趁著未來一周等候司法覆核期間，詳細研究公民黨在本週一建議的調解方式，委任獨立專家小組，建構保育皇后碼頭的多贏方案。

將『平衡』改為『並存』

曾特首在今天清場後表示「這次事件己在發展與保育間取得平衡」。若果政府每次取得所謂「平衡」，均要在社會上引發像今天的衝突，實在是對特區政府管冶能力的一大諷刺。政府有必要正式開展對於城市規劃制度和文物保育制度的全面檢討，以確保發展與保育能夠並存。
