有關地鐵行政總裁及旅遊發展局委員周松崗先生被施壓

根據接連報道，自由黨主席田北俊向地鐵行政總裁及旅遊發展局委員周松崗先生施壓，因為周先生提名一名公民黨員參選中西區區議會山頂選區。公民黨對此深表遺憾。根據報章報道，田先生向周先生發炮，表示自由黨對於周先生的行為感到不滿，因為已有自由黨黨員在同區參選，田先生更向記者表明地鐵日後向立法會提交其他建議或草案時，自由黨會「睇緊啲」，而周先生要後果自負。
根據報道，當田先生被問及今次事件時，本身亦為旅遊發展局主席的他並未否認上述報道，更解釋說有黨友對此事感到「好㷫」，因為該黨副主席在審議兩鐵合併草案時，一直對地鐵十分支持。
公民黨深切關注今次事件。其一是事件顯示選舉中行使提名權的公眾人士受到威脅﹔另一方面，此舉令公眾質疑立法會議員作為公職人員是否有恰當地履行責任和行使權力。
公民黨強調，維持公平而不會受到任何不適當的壓力和干預的選舉制度，對香港的政治制度、法治以及國際形象極其重要，受到法律保障。我們要求田先生停止作出這類的威嚇以及立即發出聲明撤回有關言論。
