In response to the election results, Civic Party understands that there is still much to do, though it is most grateful for the support of the electorate. The Party’s elected District Councillors and other candidates hereby pledge that they would continue to commit themselves wholeheartedly to district work, and to improve social services at the district level. Civic Party will definitely try to do better next time. Regarding the victory at the Peak constituency securing the support of the business community, the Party feels encouraged.
Civic Party believes that its most important achievement does not lie in the number of seats won, but in having established a preliminary foundation in district work through participation in the District Council elections. The Party considers that it now has a batch of dedicated district workers.
