Logo Unveiling of the "5 District Referendum" Movement
The official logo of the "5 District Referendum" Movement is launched today. The Hon Audrey Eu, Spokesperson of the Movement, expressed that, the graphic of the logo, composed of two hands, signifies the idea of high-five, "give me a five" as in giving support. Through these hands, we back "true universal suffrage"; through these hands, we cast our votes. And through these hands, people would realize that the "5 District Referendum" is a movement that involves all citizens, that concerns all citizens, that every single citizen has the right to participate in.
The theme colour of the Movement is orangish-yellow, which symbolizes goal, hope, change and progress.
The wordings "universal suffrage" and "our vote our voice" are also shown on the logo to clearly bring out the agenda of the Movement, "Implementation of True Universal Suffrage and Abolition of Functional Constituencies without Delay". Eu reiterated that the "5 District Referendum" is not a movement of the Civic Party’s or of the League of Social Democrats’. It is the "New Democracy Movement" that belongs to all citizens. Citizens of Hong Kong should treasure the opportunity and, through their votes, make sure that their voice, their demand for "true universal suffrage", is heard. We strongly believe that the louder the people’s voice is, the greater the strength to fight for universal suffrage will be.
