「五區公投運動」總發言人余若薇回應國務院港澳辦公室發言人及中聯辦負責人言論

國務院港澳辦公室發言人及中聯辦負責人今日(15/1/2010)就「五區公投運動」發表談話，「五區公投運動」總發言人余若薇回應如下﹕

特區政府一直強調「五區公投運動」只是補選，不承認它是具法律效力的公投，若然如此，國務院港澳辦今日無需要措辭嚴厲，對這次不被承認的公投「表示嚴重關注」。

一國兩制之下，香港實施《基本法》與本地法例。凡《基本法》與本地法例沒有禁止的，便是合法。「五區公投運動」合憲、合法、合情，而且是一種和平方式，讓香港人透過投票，表達對實現真普選與廢除功能組別的決心，以及期望藉此方式有效地促使政府真正兌現《基本法》承諾的特首與立法會普選。

民主從來不是唾手可得的，要由下而上，鍥而不捨地爭取。我呼籲港人積極參與「五區公投運動」，利用手中的一票，展示人民力量。
