公民黨促請曾鈺成辭去主席
以保議會尊嚴

公民黨認為，曾鈺成連日來的做法，嚴重破壞議會傳統，亦等同與政府聯手，將議會內的制衡力量消音，自廢立法會監察行政機關的權力。

嚴重破壞主席要公正主持議會的傳統。公民黨指出，如主席不再中立，就請自行辭職，以保護議會尊嚴，「要落場踢波，就不要做球證」。

破壞議事傳統三例：

1.    曾鈺成濫用《議事規則》92條，在未諮詢立法會議事規則委員會及未有預告情況下，選擇在凌晨時分突然腰斬辯論，不單無限擴大主席權力，更為議會立下極壞先例，剝奪議員發言權利。

2.    曾鈺成指事前不知道建制派會提出「終止辯論」，但傳媒片段及錄音指出事件疑點重重。曾鈺成藉口已忘記當時所指為何，完全無法釋除疑慮。倘曾鈺成早已知悉建制派的行動，理應預先諮詢其他議員及作出預告，而非選擇在凌晨時分埋伏突襲。

3.    曾鈺成今早再次破壞傳統，突然延遲半小時開會，以避免流會，令人質疑再次行使政治決定。
