亞洲電視新聞部的編採自主

公民黨立法會議員湯家驊於今日去信立法會資訊科技及廣播事務委員會主席黃毓民，要求在下週會議上討論「亞洲電視報導江澤民病逝」事件，並要求在立法會會議上提出緊急的口頭質詢。 (詳見附件)

湯家驊表示，連日來收到市民投訴，質疑亞視股東之一王征先生，在亞視就國家前主席江澤民先生健康情況的新聞報道上作出干預，嚴重影響亞視新聞部的編採自主。他對事件表示極度關注。

亞洲電視 (下稱亞視) 於七月六日傍晚「六點鐘新聞」及「晚間新聞」中，報道國家前主席江澤民先生因病去世。翌日官方新華社發出英文稿，否認江澤民病逝，半官方中通社更引述中聯辦負責人批評亞視報道「毫無事實依據、純屬造謠」。亞視股東王征下午會見記者時指，事前並不知新聞部就江澤民先生的報道，亞視其後立即發表聲明宣布收回報道，並向觀眾、江澤民及其家人致歉。該則聲明以「亞洲電視有限公司」名義發出，沒有提及新聞部。
