交代不清 欠缺誠意 要求獨立檢討海事處工作

海事處處長今早出席立法會經濟發展事務委員會時，正式向南丫島海難的死難者家屬、傷者及香港市民道歉；運輸及房屋局局長亦表示早前由海事處副處長領導，就海事處的內部運作成立的調查和檢討小組，將改由運輸及房屋局直接領導。本人認為政府當局對南丫島海難中海事處責任的處理仍然缺乏誠意，亦未有認真回應社會對政府當局的期望。本人認為：

1.    海事處處長未有清楚說明為何拖延至今天才作出道歉，讓人懷疑有高層次的政府官員甚至行政長官一直要求海事處處長不能公開作出道歉；政府當局必須清晰說明遲遲不能作出正式道歉的原因，以挽回其公信力；

2.    政府當局在南丫島海難處理的公信力已蕩然無存，即使改由政策局領導調查小組，亦未必能取信於社會，讓市民信服；政府當局應慎重考慮把有關工作交由一獨立委員會處理；

3.    運輸及房屋局應盡快交代與船舶業界就南丫島海難後的跟進工作和政策發展的溝通工作進展，否則只會讓人拖拖拉拉，企圖讓事件不了了之的感覺，不利於政府的公信力；

4.    政府當局必須認真和盡快處理本人較早前向公務員事務局提出針對海事處處的投訴，作出公正和全面的調查。
