余若薇回應中聯辦主任彭清華關於「五區公投運動」的言論

「五區公投運動」總發言人余若薇回應中聯辦主任彭清華今早在港區人大代表分組討論中發表關於「五區公投運動」的言論。
余若薇指出，「五區公投運動」呼籲香港選民以一人一票方式，表態支持唯一議題「盡快實現真普選，廢除功能組別」，此溫和議題乃大多數香港人的意願。倘若中央政府有誠意在香港實現真普選，何須懼怕民意。
彭清華說五區公投的口號公然挑戰《基本法》。余若薇促請彭清華清楚說明，他所指的是否《基本法》第23條，而且他是否要求特區政府重提2003年的以言入罪立法建議。
此外，人大常委范徐麗泰批評五區補選是浪費公帑的鬧劇。余若薇回應，指特區政府只肯諮詢公眾對2012年選舉辦法的意見，逃避觸及普選路線圖，更拒絕承諾香港最終可達致不再有功能組別的真普選。故此，「五區公投運動」所做的，是政府應做而沒有做的事情，透過五區補選讓全港選民清晰表達立場，並揭示特區政府魚目混珠的假諮詢和假普選。
