余若薇致曾蔭權的覆函

就特首曾蔭權邀請公民黨立法會議員余若薇就政改辯論，余若薇的回應如下：

欣然接獲　閣下來函，邀請本人與  閣下進行一場有關政制發展的電視直播辯論。本人十分樂意就這重要議題，特別是有關功能組別存廢問題與  閣下作公開辯論。
 
但來函提到辯論規則不設現場觀眾，不設第三者發問環節，有負公眾期望，既然政制發展有關全港市民福祉，本人期望  閣下重新考慮容許公眾參與。
 
此外，本人今早與  閣下辦公室主任譚志源先生通電話，譚先生澄清是邀請本人以立法會議員身分參與辯論。
 
據傳媒報道，特區政府將於6月23日提交政改方案予立法會表決，但  閣下建議辯論於6月17日舉行，與立法會表決的日子相距不足一星期。請問  閣下是否有特別原因選定此日子，而且，會否安排得太遲？
 
至於相關細節包括主持人選、辯論形式及地點等安排，雙方會派代表協商。
