余若薇﹕公民黨「在建制內爭取民主」理念不變

有報章報道，公民黨立法會議員湯家驊解釋他反對公民黨總辭方案，是因為他認為方案違反組黨的基本理念﹕「在建制內爭取民主」。

公民黨黨魁余若薇今日(10月1日)有以下回應﹕

「公民黨『在建制內爭取民主』的理念沒有改變。公民黨早前提出的爭取雙普選方案，第一階段是與特區政府談判，要求普選路線圖；倘若不果，第二階段便會是五區各有一名泛民議員呈辭，但隨即參加補選；即使到了第三階段泛民23名立法會議員有需要於2011年集體辭職，翌年亦不排除透過立法會換屆選舉捲土重來，結合建制內外力量繼續爭取民主。為了在民主道路上不斷向前，需要不時調整策略。
公民黨一致同意在建制內爭取民主，湯家驊與公民黨其他成員的原則一致。泛民23人應否總辭，是一個極之爭議的決定，而公民黨成員對於應該採取什麼策略而出現不同意見，是正常的。」
