保護文化承傳 公民黨發起救牆行動

位於尖沙咀天文台附近的聖安德烈堂，建於1903年，有超過一百年的歷史，其特色外牆是彌敦道上幾近碩果僅存的本地歷史文物標記。

聖安德烈堂因內部擴建工程，要在大門口向地底方向發展，增加3,000平方米的空間，決定把外牆整幅整卸，其中五分三的牆壁將會永遠消失，其餘五分二計劃重建。但有環保人士認為，原裝的大石難以拆件，重建或有困難。但即使小部份得以重建，仍會是彷古建築，不復原來風貌。

公民黨呼籲聖安德烈堂為保護文化承傳、歷史遺產，重新考慮「拆牆」一着，改為在教堂停車處之範圍進行內部擴展工程。

公民黨亦已去信聖公會港區大主教鄺保羅提出抗議及要求協助這一次的「救牆」運動(Save St. Andrew’s Wall)。

最後一着，或許是根據教堂地契，未得政府同意，不可因工程而隨便斬樹。
