傳染疾病如箭在弦 公民黨尋失蹤食衛局局長

近日，本港境內外發生多宗疾病事故，包括有天水圍居民被確診日本腦炎、旺角雀鳥公園發現H5N1 禽流感病毒、以及在柬埔寨發現的神秘疾病，令市民十分擔心。然而，新任食物及衛生局局長高永文卻從未回應以上事件，只忙於為他寓所的事件「拆彈」，而且昨日落區又不到現時最希望能與局長對話的天水圍、雀仔街等。公民黨對此感到遺憾。
公民黨認為，政府有必要就各類疾病向市民提供足夠資訊，而高永文局長卻自上任後未對以上疾病向市民作過任何解釋，無論是本地發生的日本腦炎、禽流感，或是就世界衛生組織曾發出警示的柬埔寨神秘疾病。為此，公民黨要求高永文必需立即作出回應，並確保推出以下措施：
1. 食物及衛生局局長高永文，必需立即到天水圍、雀仔街等地區，面對市民，展開對話，解決問題；並
2. 制定相關緊急政策及監督各有關部門的工作；
3. 就近日發生的各類疾病事故，向市民提供充足的相關資訊；及
4. 提出完善的預防措施。
