公民黨動物權益關注組促特首跟進動物權益狀況

公民黨動物權益關注組對施政報告中隻字不提動物福利政策感到強烈不滿，今去信梁振英促請政府認真檢討本港極度落後的動物福利問題。

關注組批評政府對近期社會上不斷發生的令人咋舌虐待動物案件視若無睹，亦對民間促請警方立即成立「動物警察」的強烈訴求置若罔聞，情況令人憤怒。此外，政府亦沒有跟進上屆政府已作出的承諾，加建寵物公園和從源頭減少流浪貓狗數目的問題。

關注組促請政府盡快提出一些具體的改善政策，不能再容許社會上任何虐待動物的行為。
