公民黨回應建制派聯署要求停止安排議員宣誓

就建制派議員計劃聯署要求立法會主席停止安排議員宣誓，公民黨認為此舉是公然要求立法會主席作出違憲行為，就此，我們要求梁君彥議員：
1. 拒絕請求。正如建制派議員所言，這項請求是純粹的政治行動，背後並無法理基礎，而且有違憲制精神。如梁先生接納請求，將會成為回歸後首位違憲立法會主席，製造重大憲政危機；
2. 履行法律賦予立法會主席的憲政責任。根據《基本法》、《宣誓及聲明條例》和《立法會議事規則》盡快安排議員宣誓，讓獲民意授權的議員可以投入議會工作。
同時，公民黨譴責提出聯署請求的建制派議員，他們身為立法會議員，卻為了政治目的，不惜扭曲議事規則精神，無視法律原則，提出違法違憲的請求，甚至慫恿立法會主席違憲，將主席推到憲政懸崖。
《宣誓及聲明條例》和《立法會議事規則》早已說明，讓獲民意授權的議員盡快完成宣誓並開展工作，是極為重要的一步，我們看不到任何押後甚至停止議員宣誓的理由。
