公民黨回應毛孟靜議員退黨聲明

公民黨創黨成員、立法會議員毛孟靜今日宣布退黨。

公民黨尊重其個人決定，但感到十分可惜。毛孟靜議員是公民黨創黨黨員，過去十年為公民黨開拓了九龍西地區並連續兩屆當選立法會議員；在籌募經費上，貢獻良多，功不可沒。毛孟靜特別在動物權益、關注少數族裔方面的努力均有目共睹，公民黨亦會有其他議員繼續在這兩方面努力。

公民黨衷心感謝毛孟靜過去十年來對黨和推動香港民主運動的付出，正如十周年創黨宣言所述，公民黨展望一個更共融、更以公民為本的政治方向，無論是否同一政黨，我們希望有更多同行者，亦深信她和公民黨一樣，繼續爭取真普選。

公民黨對於未有立法會議員專注服務九龍西，表示歉意，公民黨將會調撥資源，繼續服務九龍西。
