公民黨回應針對政府樹木管理的審計報告

回應針對政府樹木管理的審計報告

審計署署長今天公佈最新的審計報告，嚴厲批評政府當局的樹木管理工作。過去公民黨一直關注政府當局的樹木管理政策，並曾多次建議審計署就此進行審計，故我們肯定審計署是次就政府樹木管理進行的全面審計工作。

事實上審計署在報告中觸及的意見和批評，如政府各部門互相推卸樹木管理的責任，各部門各自為政，相關政策局缺乏統籌等，與公民黨多年來提出的批評一致。因此，繼申訴專員較早前表示會就政府的樹木管理政策進行主動調查後，我們再次要求政府當局積極回應公民黨多年來以及審計署在報告中提及的建議，開展訂立樹木法的工作。我們認為若沒有清晰的法例框架，政府當局只會繼續卸責迴避，審計署揭發的問題不可能得到徹底改善。

我們促請立法會政府帳目委員會就上述部份的審計報告開展公開聆訊，邀請所有負責樹木管理政策的政策局和部門出席接受委員的質詢，研究進一步完善樹木管理政策的具體建議。
