公民黨對曾蔭權先生發表不實言論的聲明

行政長官曾蔭權今天在行政長官答問大會中，多番假借市民之名批評高等法院對港珠澳大橋環評報告的裁決，稱「公共工程一旦受阻，可能會令香港喪失國家經濟增長帶來的新機會，令香港被邊緣化，影響經濟增長及就業機會。」公民黨黨魁梁家傑認為，特首上述言論不負責任，危言聳聽，並嚴重衝擊法治。

梁家傑指出，立法會部分議員包括公民黨在內，一直以來履行監察政府的職責，屢次督促政府盡快改革不合時宜的環境評估制度，保障香港市民的健康，可惜，政府自以為是，充耳不聞，沿用過時的環評制度，直至最近高等法院判定，兩份關於港珠澳大橋香港段的環評報告不符合法例要求，撤銷環保署長發出的環境許可證，實乃政府當局咎由自取。但曾蔭權並無汲取教訓，反省己過，亡羊補牢，向公眾道歉，反而毫無愧色地假借市民之名發表不實言論，諉過於人，推卸責任，令人齒冷。

司法獨立是本港賴以成功的基石，但近日一些人不斷發表衝擊法治的言論。梁家傑認為，曾蔭權身為特區首長，有責任挺身而出加以駁斥該等言論，維護司法獨立。可惜曾蔭權今天在答問大會的發言，不單只沒有嚴厲指正上述言論，只是誇誇而談「特區政府是會嚴守法治」，實在令人憂慮特區政府越來越公然為行政之便及獻媚，而不惜犧牲司法獨立。
