公民黨就多區選舉主任來信之回應

1. 公民黨4名立法會選舉之參選人，包括新界東選區楊岳橋、新界西選區郭家麒、香港島選區鄭達鴻以及法律界功能組別郭榮鏗，今日均收到各相關選舉主任來函，就參選人的政綱及工作作出多項查詢，以確定參選人「真確誠意地擁護《基本法》和保證效忠香港特別行政區」，並因此而考慮提名是否有效。

2. 選舉主任並要求，各參選人需於明日(7月26日)中午12時前回覆有關查詢，如未能及時回覆，會據此考慮提名是否有效。

3. 公民黨會就有關查詢作出回覆，然而，公民黨批評，政府給予的回覆時間不合理地短促並具壓逼性。根據《立法會選舉活動指引》，所有有關選舉7天內的行政程序執行均以工作天為單位，選舉主任需貫徹有關做法。據此，公民黨各參選人將去信選舉主任，要求將信件回覆的時限延至後日(7月27日星期一)下午6時。

4. 公民黨重申，選舉主任向參選人查詢政治立場，以此作為決定參選人提名資格，從而為政權篩選候選人的做法，是嚴重干預選舉，違反公平選舉的基本原則，公民黨對此作出嚴厲的譴責及抗議。
